ef2Eric Fouache, Vice Chancellor of the University Paris Sorbonne Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) since 2012, is professor at the University of Paris-Sorbonne on a chair of Geomorphology, Geoarchaeology. His previous appointments have been at the University of Paris Ouest – Nanterre (Paris 10) from 2008 to 2011, at the University of Paris Est – Créteil – Val de Marne (Paris 12) from 2002 to 2008, and at the University of Paris Sorbonne (Paris 4) from 1995 to 2002. He was Vice-President of the IAG from 20O9 to 2013, Chairman of the IAG working group on Geoarchaeology from 2001 to 2009 and President of the French Group of Geomorphology (GFG) from 2004 to 2008. He is a Senior member of the Institut Universitaire de France. In 2000 and 2007 he received an award from the “Société de Géographie” in Paris. His research is concerned with geoarchaeological, palaeoenvironmental and palaeogeographical studies in Mediterranean (Balkan area), Black Sea (Russia), Near East (Tunisia, Turkey) and Middle East (Arabic Peninsula) and Central Asia areas. Eric Fouache published more about 140 scientific papers and books, including more than 40 in international peer-reviewed journals.
