5th ICG - Tokyo, Symposium on Large Rivers (S06), August 2001

This symposium organised in collaboration with INQUA-GLOCOPH will include more than 20 papers. Professor S.A. Schumm has kindly agreed to deliver the keynote lecture. The symposium is expected to last one-and-a-half days and apart from the theoretical papers, case studies on the Amazon, the Negro, the Purus, the Xingú, the Paraná, the Mississippi, the Yenisei, the Ganga, the Brahmaputra, the Yangtze, the Mekong, the Chao Phraya, etc. will be presented.
