International Geomorphology Week 2026
The IAG organises again in 2026 the International Geomorphology Week! Its aim is to promote geomorphology in all its forms, and mobilise the geomorphological community worldwide around a common event. This year, we organise four Special Lectures, dispatched in two events:
- March 3rd, 5:00 to 7:00 UTC
- Edward Park (Singapore) – Sand mining in the Mekong Delta: Compounded impacts and management
- Rayees Ahmed (India) – Increasing hazards and risks from Glacial Lake Outburst Floods in mountain regions
- March 6th, 16:00 to 18:00 UTC
- Ian Evans (UK) – Mountain glaciation, the buzz-saw hypothesis and glaciers as landforms
- Richard Marston (USA) – Does geomorphology make a difference in natural resource management?
Register to one or both of the events on our Eventbrite page here.
