20th East Eurasia International Workshop (11-17 October 2026, Chengdu, China)

The IAG is happy to give auspices 20th East Eurasia International Workshop (EEIW), organised by the Faculty of Geoscience and Engineering, Southwest Jiaotong University (FGE SWJTU) and the International Organizing Committee of EEIW.

The workshop will be held on 11-17 October 2026 in Chengdu (China), and will be focused on the theme: “Present Earth Surface Processes and Long-term Environmental Changes in East Eurasia”. Main themes will be as varied as surface processes, lake catchment, paleolimnology, geohazards, climate changes… and many others!

As this year is the Twentieth Jubilee Meeting of the EEIW, the organizers are preparing a truly memorable meeting – honouring two decades of partnership and discovery. Its program will include the publication of extended abstracts, a proposed special issue in the Quaternary International Journal, an inspiring three-day field excursion, and the EEIW Students’ Works Award.
